ah.

guess they accepted a lot more since # of apps went up.

rejected! sweetness lol eh i cant be too mad its frickin yale...

Deferred.

SAT:2310
SAT II: 780, 770, 750
GPA: 4.0 u/w
Rank: tied for 1/379 u/w, weighted is meaningless cuz I transferred

Subjective:
Essays/recs: no clue/didn't read recs but assuming decent
Hook (if any): lots of science research, lots of music awards/stuff

Location/Person:
State or Country: MD
School Type: competitive public
Ethnicity: Asian
Gender: female

Other Factors: No interview (not my choice)

wow. so many distinguished deferreds!! yale is being REALLy picky !!!

all my friends got rejected.

damn. Yale means business.

Decision: Rejected

Stats:
SAT: 740CR 790M 700W
SAT IIs: 800MathIIC 800Physics 790Chem
GPA: 94.3/100 unweighted
Rank: 1st/62
Other stats: The heaviest courseload that the school offers

Subjective:
Essays:Main one... too generic... was hoping the supplement would help out. Guess not.
Teacher Recs: Never read them
Counselor Rec: Never read it
Hook (if any):None

Location/Person:
State or Country:BC, Canada
School Type: Small(K-12 600 in total), university prep, private
Ethnicity:Asian (Korean-Canadian)
Gender:Male

Other Factors: Lack of EC. All the usual club president position, band section leader, newspaper editor, etc. didn't really help probably. My 400-volunteer hour also probably didn't have much effect except on numbers. Perhaps I should have written an essay on an EC to show more about myself. I don't know. Also, being an Asian without being extraordinary probably killed me.

General Comments:Congratulations to all those who got accepted! I sort of screwed up my application for Yale, so I was expecting a result like this... It's just sad if I don't get into a good univ in the states, I'll probably end up going to UofT or McGill... ah w/e For those in similar situation as I am... well let's hope for the best in the RD round!

still waiting...

i dont see many accepted CC'ers yet!!

deferred. booo....

I'm kinda too lazy to post all my stats, but lets just say my ECs outweighed my academics.

Rank:4/400

Other stats:AP US-5, AP World-5, AP Physics B-3 (I hate that subject)
Subjective: My interview went really well I think!
Essays:....I thought they were awful...they worried me the most!
Teacher Recs: One was amAzing and the other was so so
Counselor Rec: Really good actually
Hook (if any):....I have no idea

Strenths/Weaknesses: Essays were very lackluster....I have a nasty habit of being extremely wordy in everything I write so I come across as having no personality in my writing...I hope/think my interview helped that alot!
Why accepted:...Lots of Prayer, Interview, URM status

General Comments: I can't even believe it! I am so incredibly grateful right now because some of you guys who got deferred just amaze me! I would've accepted you all! Good Luck to those of you who haven't found out yet!

Stats later.

BROWN!!! YAY Pianoking! that's where i go heheh. I applied ED to yale and was deferred and then rejected. Its so unpredictable. Anyway, as depressed as some of you may be, with your amazing stats, you will all get in somewhere good. I got into so many other great schools, and now that I'm at brown, I couldn't see myself anywhere else. All of you will find your nice and be fine, it just takes little stress and anxiety to get there. Best of luck

ACCEPTED. Stats later
