Okay so I really need your opinion because I think this might mean something and I’m not sure.

After dinner today I had a fortune cookie and it said “Good things will be in your future.” Does this mean I got in? The fortune cookie was kinda brown, so I figure it was a sign.

oh man, totally. you are in. I mean it!
lol - good luck!!

Are you really that stupid? Don't you know anything at all?
A fortune cookie after dinner means you'll probably die this week; if you opened it after lunch..... thats a different story.
Good luck with living ......

Quark that's nothing special. Didn't you know that Brown always sends likely letters in fortune cookies?!

Gees guys, I think he's only trying to loosen up the tension. At least I laughed when I read your post quark, n1.

Quark...it IS a sign! Good things WILL be in your future, regardless if you are admitted to Brown or not.

That's a good sign. Good news is on the way!

hahaa if i got that my expectations would be so high, then i would look at my transcript and those expectations would plummet. hahaha but i you get in quark!

Hold on, was there any links listed in your fortune? Buttons?

And on the back of the little slip where they teach you a word in Chinese, the word was 'accepted', right? XD

I love this thread. Glad to know you guys can still have a sense of humor!

If it says ""Good things will be in your future." It could mean that you will NOT get into Brown, but buy the lottery because if you win that, then you dont even need to go to College!

^Or, you'll have enough money TO go to college! Hah!

haha a few days before EA decisions, i got a fortune cookie that said, "good news will come to you from far away." then i was deferred.

^Better than being rejected though... so I guess if you have a weird sense of humor, it would be good news. lol

haha well i was deferred from harvard, which defers like 99.9999999% of its EA applicants, so it wasn't exactly good news... but also not unexpected.

sulipro's response > *

(:

Did you see the face of (insert preferred religious idol here) in the cookie? Or even the face of Paula Abdul? The message bodes well but you've gotta have a lucky cookie.

tuck that same exact incident happened to me. my fortune cookie said something like, good things will happen in the near future. then i got deferred from harvard.
