I recently got my acceptance letter from Ohio State, but it didn’t say any scholarships or information about some of the programs I applied to. Do these notifications come in later? When will I find out the decision for these programs?
They come later, but no set amount of time later. Late March at the absolute latest, but probably before then.
they come march and april 1st is for scholars/honors program
Ohio State has been issuing notices of decisions, scholarships (buckeye, maximus and provost) and Morrill and Scholars earlier this year than last year. A lot of applicants who applied by Nov 1 have already heard vack. I believe the Trustee scholarship and Honors notifications will be coming out within the next few weeks. My daughter applied by Nov 1 and received buckeye scholarship and Provost scholarship by snail mail in late December. Awaiting word on Honors.
I’m waiting for word on the Scholars program, Buckeye, Morrill and Trustees scholarships. I am an out of state student. By when should I receive notice?
We are out of state also. I don’t think there’s any firm timelines. You could call Admissions if you want. Another blogger said he called them and then just said “your scholarship letter has been mailed,” but would not say whether he actually got the scholarship.
My son applied before the 1 Nov Early Application deadline. He received his acceptance letter in early Dec. He qualifies to compete for National Buckeye and also Provost scholarships (1320 SAT–school does not rank), but we have not heard anything yet either. I have seen a number of posts going back to Dec 2014 stating that students have received the National Buckeye (and also the Maximus or Provost) scholarships, but not where the students have received the National Buckeye and the Trustees. It would appear (I don’t know this for a fact) that OSU is sending out the National Buckeye along with the more competitive scholarships (Maximus) and then the Provost. Maybe after that, they will send the Trustees. Good luck!!!
