Scholarship and Honors College Notification Timing

Hello! My son just got accepted to OSU OOS. Any idea when accepted students begin to hear about merit scholarships and/or Honors/Scholars program acceptances?

I don’t know about the Honors/Scholars program acceptances, but a couple months ago when I was considering applying to the honors program, I think I remember reading that they either call you or notify you via mail around the same time the scholarship info is sent. A student representative called me last night and told me that I should be receiving all of my scholarship/financial aid info mid-February, assuming I fill out the FAFSA asap (he also said that being in the first round of acceptances for the Nov. 1st deadline might mean the financial info will come sooner).

Hope this helps - I’m waiting anxiously too ;)

I’ve already been accepted as well but because I’m OOS I need the national buckeye scholarship to attend. I called admissions yesterday (they have the nicest people working there!) who said scholarship and honors college decisions will go out in a couple weeks and we should hear by the end of the month. there will be both a letter and an update on the website. good luck, looks like we’re in the same boat!

I haven’t received any notification about scholarships, but I received an email today welcoming me into the Scholars program. I applied to Ohio State on October 20 and was a part of the first round of acceptances in late November. I’m guessing if you haven’t received notification about Honors/Scholars, you should very soon.

Their website says Honors and Scholars decisions go out on a rolling basis starting Mid January however, a couple of kids at my daughter’s school have heard they are in the scholars program, but haven’t heard any get Honors yet.

I also recieved an email welcoming me to scholars today!

my daughter received an email monday night about getting into the scholars program but nothing about any scholarships

I applied to honors and still no word.

I applied to Honors and have not heard anything. However, I did receive the Provost and National Buckeye Scholarship in the mail today. I am OOS from Illinois.

GPA: 4.25W 3.7UW
Rank: Top 8%
ACT: 33

Both of my sons received acceptance letters before Thanksgiving. Only one applied to the scholars program and he got an email Monday night that he got in. Waiting impatiently for scholarship info. We are OOS so the Buckeye will definitely help.
