Does OSU send physical letter? Or is it all digital?

earlier today

really curious if it means an acceptance is coming or not!!! still waiting

Historically, Merit scholarships come via snail mail, and I believe they don’t get sent out until sometime in January.

Same for my daughter. She received her letter in the mail on March 1st.

4.0. OOS. Rejected.

My youngest daughter was just checked her portal and was accepted to business/marketing!! She is OOS, 31 ACT, 4.2 GPA, 5 AP classes, lots of extracurriculars. My oldest daughter is currently a senior at OSU. When she applied, admissions were more rolling than they are now. They used to release decisions every other Friday starting in mid-November. My son was accepted two years ago, with his notification coming in around 9:45pm CT. That year it seemed that acceptances were released in batched according to what program you applied for. Keep checking those portals and good luck!!

OSU does send scholarship letters until early to mid January. Be forewarned it isn’t much. $1-3,000 per year max. Students in top10% of HS get $1K, Top 5% $2k and students in top 1% will see $3k. These are all instate values. OOS is more but also amounts to about the same % wise.

Does anyone ever post rejections. I’m curious. My daughter had a 4.0. Plenty of awards. Plenty of APs. Accepted to Smeal. Wonder why

I saw a rejection in this thread too

Mine did…test optional.

There were a number of rejections when admission decisions were first released. Almost seemed intentional.

I’m not sure if things have changed, but when our oldest applied to OSU four years ago, we were told by admissions that for OOS admissions, the university accepts a certain number of applicants from a specific demographic (high school, zip code, etc). Once that number is reached, they cap admissions for that demographic. So for example, if 100 kids from Smith High School in Anytown, Illinois apply, OSU only has spots to accept 25 kids from that particular demographic, even if they all have similar stats and are qualified applicants.
