They released the acceptance numbers from the 12/9 pool. We are still waiting here. Hoping it really is random, since they accepted a lot more than last year.

For those who may not have login access, here is the updated page for Columbus freshman and transfer applicants for the fall semester, including acceptances for the first wave. I agree with @Sk8tergirl1 that the increase in acceptances for the first wave is pretty striking compared to last year at this time.

In state or out of state?
One thing I noticed with my daughter’s acceptance this weekend (Saturday) is that all of her friends from her high school heard at the same time. Not sure if that is a coincidence.

We are Out of State. Hoping to get Buckeye but graduating a year early so wasn’t able to take ACT and dropped AP so she could take 11 classes. No class rank. We shall see

Makes sense considering the early acceptance rate is around 65%. The application number will stay the same but expect the admitted number to double on Jan 20.

6 of my son’s friend group applied at the same time from same school. 2 were admitted, 2 were declined and 2 (including my son) are still being evaluated.

was there a disparity in their stats? were the 2 accepted high stats kids, did the 2 declined go TO? Good luck, hoping for a Jan acceptance as well.
We are OOS. Our high school doesn’t rank. My two older kids (high school class of '19 and '21) received the same scholarship. '19 submitted scores and '21 was TO.

I don’t think those decisions come out until January. My daughter applied for Scholars instead of Honors.
The 2023 data is incomplete. It’s only based on acceptances from the first round of acceptances. There are two rounds. After Jan 20, that number will double. The application number will stay the same.

My daughter did not apply for honors but just curious which email account they are sending communications to for future purposes? My child got their acceptance via regular email but I thought they also indicated that they can communicate through an ohio state email account which I do not think was ever set up by my child? Thanks

I guess maybe my kid made the mistake of choosing to apply for Scholars rather than Honors. Seems like those decisions might take a while. Oh well.
