Congrats on his other schools! Did you just hear? We havent heard yet so I am not sure how they are releasing decisions (all deferrals, all denials, all acceptances)… its a mystery!

Funny thing he was just accepted at another school just 5 min ago another one on his lacrosse college list that they are recruiting him for … so we are back in good spirits here

Respectfully, I disagree. My son did not submit test scores. He had a very strong application and did not feel his test scores represented his abilities. He was accepted to Ohio State last month, with acceptance into the honors program as well. Based on my son’s experience, I believe Ohio State really does use a holistic review and does not penalize students who don’t submit scores.

Your son was accepted into the honors program at Ohio State as a freshman in 2023? I didn’t think honors decisions were released until next month.

A batch of honors decisions were released last Friday.

Is today/tonight the last/official night where they inform ALL EA applicants on their decisions? or does it go past tonight? OSU handles things very different than other schools we have applied to.

@charlie1515 Yes it’s supposed to be tonight but if you look at last year’s thread there were a handful of EA people who did not get an answer even at the second wave release and admissions really didn’t give them an explanation.

I didnt see that in the thread? but what does that mean? They just didnt hear on the final release night or they were moved to RD?
@charlie1515 you’d have to go back and look at the thread from last year but I think what happened was they ended up getting a decision but not until around January 31st when everybody else heard about 10 days sooner and it seemed like those people ended up being deferred

Still not any update and now my hope is getting slim too
We are still waiting. My DD portal days that it requires ‘final high school’ transcript and the date of updation is today. She is a senior so I am not sure what this means as she wont have final high school transcript for months
