No decision
My son was accepted for Business, finance. GPA 3.7 UW, SAT 1390, international
I got no decision and have 0 clue why
Deferred
OOS Business 3.5 UW 1420 SAT
Can any body chance us for RD?
For CS majors, were you admitted as “engineering pre major”? If so, from my understanding, this doesn’t guarantee admittance into the program, which has limited spots. Any current freshman or upperclassmen parents know anything about this? (This likely wouldn’t have been on your portal letter, but would be in the letter by mail you’ll receive in 7-10 days.)
It’s not guaranteed, but they changed the process so that only CSE pre-majors can apply for the major! That’s good enough, IMO.
Son got accepted last night after 8pm EST
OOS

Go Bucks!
I’m just wondering how many who are admitted into the CSE pre-major actually get in.
Yes got the letter that it’s CSE pre major. Students need to apply for 3 engineering majors at some point in spring. And CS is listed as having limited space.
Curious if any has the OSU admissions chart circulated at several times during this process that shows the admissions and acceptances for each college. Looking to see how many acceptances were sent in 2nd EA round.
Guessing that you mean the weekly report located at this URL (requires login): https://oesar.osu.edu/secure/pdf/admissions/comp&summ_SIS.pdf
As of today, 1/21, the report hasn’t yet been updated for the most recent round of admissions. (Timestamp on the report shows 1/16.) Check again early next week for the update.
yes, that is the one. Hoping someone can post it next week when its been updated as the data does tell an interesting story.
Deferred
In-state, 4.07W / 3.87UW, Ok essay and EQ’s
Applied Finance
Didn’t Summit Test Scores.
Does anyone know when deferred students will eventually hear back?
Just so everyone that gets accepted knows, and are accepting it, there is a $100 fee to accept it.
Son was accepted at about 8:00 last night. Mechanical engineering, 3.93 GPA at a very competitive Catholic HS, 32 ACT (34 superscore, though not relevant at OSU), in-state, very good ECs, 4 APs and many honors courses.
Son accepted - received email this morning… OOS Biology, 3.9 W; 1370 SAT, started medical club; tennis varsity, UVA biology research, internships ++ we’re thrilled
This new policy is only effective from Autumn ‘23, so past stats won’t be very helpful.
No decision at this point for my OOS son (1450 SAT, 3.84 UW, 4.2W, 9 AP’s, sports, EC’s).
applied early 10/2022 EA.
Looks like others have not heard as well
Anyone ideas why we would not have heard at this point? I saw a small subset were left out of decisions last year and did not hear until 1/31.
My son was deferred two years ago and got accepted mid march in the RD round.
Nothing here either. Maybe it’s the specific college?
He’s also a 4.0 UW and 4.8W.
One of my friends posted her daughter received her results around noon today (Saturday).
