Ohio State vs. Pitt for Engineering

So I’m choosing between colleges, and two near the top of my list are Ohio State and Pitt. I want to go into engineering, and I’m not sure which one would be better for me.

Ohio State:
Cost: 21k a year
Accepted into honors

Pitt:
Cost: 11k a year
Accepted to honors (I understand the UHC, I’ve looked it up, and the Bphil interests me)

I don’t know what engineering I want to go into, but it is likely along the lines of electrical/computer engineering or engineering science/physics. Which would have the better engineering programs? Which honors program would be better? Other factors I’m considering are the surrounding areas, because I’m someone who likes to go out and explore (preferably in the outdoors, with hiking and such, but also with the city), access to undergrad research and engineering projects, campus, quality of life, and club/intramural sports.

I think I’m leaning towards Ohio State, but I’m not sure if it would be better, and if it is, whether it would be worth the extra cost and distance.
