<p>My son has strong tests results (SAT 2020 and ACT 30; 5 on US History AP; 730 SAT II US History, but mediocre GPA - 3.0 - at a very rigorous private school. </p>
<p>I am wondering if attending an honors program at a less demanding public university would be the right thing for him. The Honors Tutorial College at Ohio University has a unique approach predicated on the tutorial model at oxford and Cambridge. </p>
<p>Has anyone had experience with this program? Has your student had involvement with an honors college/program that you/they felt was particularly worthwhile?</p>
