If i go to OHSU can i study there and become dermatologist?
Like do they have a program for that?
if not can i learn how to become a dermatologist at Pacific university??

To become a dermatologist, you first must complete an undergraduate degree (BA or BS), then apply to medical school. After you’ve completed medical school, you’ll then apply for dermatology residencies. A dermatology residency lasts 3 years and is usually followed by another 1-3 years of medical fellowship study.

Derm is one of the most competitive residencies around with fewer than 3% of med students accepted. Getting a derm residency requires all of the following: top grades in medical school, outstanding recommendations from your clerkship supervisors in dermatology (during med school), 1 or more dermatology research projects (with publication) completed during medical school, top 5% in the country scores on your USMLE exams (STEP 1 and STEP 2).

Pacific University is an undergraduate college. Going to school there might be a first step toward becoming a doctor.

OHSU has a medical school, but no undergrad program. Attending OHSU’s medical school could be the second step in becoming a dermatologist.

You can set a goal of applying to Derm. Residncies only after having your Step 1 score in your hands. Doing it before is really a waste of time. If you want to be at Med. School, go to any UG, get GPA prefferrably around 3.6+, get decent MCAT score and medical EC’s. Get accepted to ANY Med. School, get very high Step 1 score, do everything above and beyond your normal requirements. Apply to huge number of Derm. residencies (some apply to ALL - about 110 of them, average seems to be about 70), then you might have a shot at Derm. if your stars are all lined up in a sky (I mean, you still need lots of luck).
