i hear a lot of people on this forum saying barrons is good prep for math 2c. my questions are:

1) How much extra information is there? Is it a very large amount or a moderate amount?
2) Is it good just because it is harder, or is the book actually useful in itself?
3) Are there any other suggestions other than barrons, perhaps more realistic to the test?

Thanks in advance everyone. The reason I ask these questions is because I took precalc last year, so I want to know what the best prep book is without too much extraneous information.

1) I only used the barron's prep book and I found that there wasn't too much unnecessary info, although I don't exactly know all the material that could be tested. Some topics such as probability may go into a bit too much depth, whereas the real test had really basic questions on that topic.
2.The book definitely over prepares you for the test, but this could be both good and bad. On the one hand, you're definitely ready for the last few hard questions, but then again, you won't be as familiar with some of the other tricky questions on the real test.
3.The practice tests for barron's are simply bad for your confidence. You could always try the princeton review math iic book which I assume is easier and more realistic, considering that barron's definitely was not. What I did was use barron's for review and PR & kaplans for the practice tests.

If you have time, just look over barron's and just realize that the actual test is much easier
