ok, does GC's recommendation matter a lot?

i kinda messed ....
my GC retired, and he asked for everyone's info in summer, but i forgot...and now afraid is going to be to late...

i can't mail him, becuz im afraid it'll juz remind him that im really late....err...

so, wel, does GC's recommendation matter a lot? others are telling me that teacher's are more important....i hope so...

also....another question?

do anyone know how hard is NYU Stern????....plz, so many ppl hav been telling me diff. answers...

like the sat score, and other stuff would be great, thanx....

Can you talk to him (i.e. phone call)? Otherwise, you can always get one from your new GC. Teacher recs should be a whole lot more important because they interact with you so much more than a GC. Check princetonreview.com for school info.

If the college asks for a GC recommendation and you don't supply it. They consider your application incomplete and invalid. Therefore, swallow your pride and call him or get rejected from the school.

I think the weight given to different recs depends largely on the level of insight the teacher or GC provides. For example, if your GC knows you a lot better than your teachers and is able to give insight into struggles you have overcome and whatnot, then I think the GC's rec would be very important. In your case, however, it doesn't sound like you know the GC very well, so your teachers recs will definitely count for more. Just get your GC to fill out a bland rec and I don't think it will hurt you too much. Colleges won't punish you just because your GC doesn't know you.

haha...ok...thanx...

wel, he doesn't know us dat wel...
my GC will still write a recommendation...but...it's juz gonna be common...u know? it's like a same letter for 10 kids, he juz change the name on top...

i hope GC's is not that important, i kno the other 2 teacher's are gonna be good....im juz worry about GC's "common" recommendation...

This post is starting to look like the comments I get on my LiveJournal--I HATE internet speak.
Grammar freaks for life.

Really late? Are you kidding?

sonneyao827: Grow up and stop worrying. Also, stop butchering the english language. Learn to write well. Learn to spell. It may help you in improving your test scores.
