OK for the really stupid question....

I’m starting to have similar concerns. I want to switch into a class in Webster house but I would have 15 minutes from Machmer hall and I’m worried about the O Hill climb in winter

And that walk looks to be about 65% of what my son has to do although he doesn’t have the hill to contend with. We are bringing up his bike and if he doesn’t need it we can always come back up to get it. Better safe than sorry.

paws27 check the bus schedule to see if a campus shuttle (blue 34 and blue 35) would match up with your course times. They have not updated for the next academic year’s schedule but I assume it would be about the same. <a href=“Error 404 PVTA”>Error 404 PVTA; <a href=“Error 404 PVTA”>Error 404 PVTA;

For northbound (34) you’d want to be on the left half (“to Orchard Hill”) shortly after the studio arts building stop. Then look across the same row, two columns over to where it has the Butterfield stop (the bus stop closer to Webster would probably be a minute earlier at the most).

For southbound (35), left half again. You could either catch it at Lederle (the graduate research center stop) or closer to studio arts (add a few minutes to graduate research center stop) then just look over one column for the Butterfield stop. The stop closer to Webster is after the Butterfield stop on this route.

The most important thing to remember is that campus has A LOT of road traffic during the day, especially during class changes. If the bus schedule says you will get to Orchard Hill one minute before your class starts, it’s more likely that you would be late every time you try to take the bus. Also, if it’s really bad in the winter sometimes these buses will completely bypass some of the Orchard Hill stops for safety reasons.

@nineum‌ thank you. i was kinda confused about the bus schedule before. unfortunately it looks like the bus won’t work either. i’m sure i’ll be fine though

Coming from somewhere without any public transportation I know what you mean… You’ll get used to it though. Just always make sure you are looking at it going the correct direction and also the correct set of days (weekend routes can be a lot less frequent or even non-existent for certain lines).
