I just got the ACT QAS for june 2010 today and reviewed my answers.
English: I got 6 wrong, 4 of which were partially/completely stupid mistakes (misbubbled, and misread)
Math: I got 3 wrong, all of which were misbubbled.
Reading: I got 5 wrong, 3 of which were misread.
Science: I got 5 wrong, 4 of which were misread.

I think i win for CC's most amount of stupid mistakes on one test.
I got a 32, which is good.

But i could have gotten a 35. FML FML FML
Because of these stupid mistakes i have to retake. UGHHH!

But im not here to just rant. I need help for the 2 english questions i can't figure out on my own.

Birkeland's work was ridiculed by many of the era's top scientists, who scoffed at the notion that electrons from the Sun could reach Earth's magnetic field from such a great distance. (HOWEVER, IT) wasn't until the 1960's, when satellites first proved the existence of a "solar wind" of particles sweeping past Earth, that Birkeland's central tenet was substantiated.

A) No change
B) Still, it
C) First, it
D) It

It is NOT A, because “however” would suggest that the following clause or sentence or whatever would disprove or contrast the clause before it. Saying that the existence of a solar wind was proved by scientists in the 1960’s doesn’t oppose the statement that Brikeland’s work was ridiculed.

What were your score breakdowns? Just wondering :)

@puggly123 – No, sorry =/ You can figure out how many questions you missed using your subscores and the curve prediction threads on CC… but, you can’t figure out exactly which questions you missed.

And I think you’re supposed to ask for the TIR at the time of your registration.

NO one on this site complain about their QAS sheet… I got 10 wrong in science and got a 26. A freaking 26… At this stage I don’t even know what to say. It was the lowest science I’ve ever gotten and it was on the real thing. I got 35, 34, 30, and a 26… if I got a 30 or higher I would have had a 33 and ultimatly my dream score… shoot me.
