<p>When do classes at UCLA actually begin? The calendar states that the quarter begins on Sept 22 and Instruction begins on Sept 25. and when do (or should) we move in by?</p>
<p>You're living in the dorms right? If so you should be moving in during move-in weekend, which is September 19-21. Technically you don't HAVE to move into the dorms until the 25th (which is when classes start) but as a new student you want to stay for Welcome week to get a chance to meet people, check out cool welcome week events, and get settled. 99% of the general population (excluding RAs and such) move in September 19-21.</p>
<p>If you have an apartment obviously it doesn't matter, just move in by the 25th, though most apartment people move in a couple weeks earlier to get settled.</p>
