I'm an Oklahoma resident. I want to be a vet. I am going to be a high school senior this upcoming year. I have been browsing colleges and I am really interested in the University of Alabama. They give out a scholarship called the Presidential Scholar. But in order to get it, I have to make between a 32-36 composite score on the ACT. I currently have a 27 composite on the ACT with my subscores being: 32 Reading, 25 Math, 24 Science, 27 English. I know my ACT score is really horrible as it is. I have bought a book and I have been studying it a lot. I feel like I'm improving. I also applied for the Oklahoma School of Science and Math this past school year and got accepted conditionally. Which means that I had to take the prep course over the summer (which SUCKED lol but I passed it with a high B). I feel like I have a much better understanding of the Math that I was puzzled about before. I want to know if there is any possibility of me making this opportunity a dream come true. And I was wondering how many of these scholarships are given out by UA.
P.S. I don't know my EFC and I do know that my family is in the lower middle class. My mom is the only one working because my dad broke his back and is going back to school for natural gas engineering. My mom is an RN and works for the state. So a full ride would be my best bet. And if there are any other Full rides within my reach please help me by letting me know!
