Okay, so what now?

I took the SAT in October, out of my element, and scored a 1670. Shocked, I bought the BB and I have been working with it. I took some of the practice tests and to my pleasant surprise I kept getting around a 1950; the 1670 was a fluke. Of course, I have a final goal of at least 2200.
I have read the majority of help-threads and guides on how to improve your SAT score in this forum, and I am doing what they say, and it's working.

I have come to the conclusion that after brief training, the SAT is mostly just paying attention so you don't kick yourself when you find out what the real answer is. The questions are mostly easy. Focus is key. I need to practice this. I tend to lose common sense under the pressure of testing conditions.

I need to "relax, relax, relax". I think being relaxed, well-rested, and calm can help anyone get an additional 1-200 points.

How can I practice relaxing and prepare myself to have "extreme focus" on the actual test?

Preparation is the key to being relaxed on test day, and it sounds like you’re already doing what you need to do. Just knowing you’re ready will do the trick.

Yeah, I’m kinda in your same situation. I got a 16 something on my freshman PSAT. I just took SAT in Nov and I got 1990 without studying. Now, I really need to cram so that I can get a good score by the Jan test…I am studying but the scores in my practice seem to be stagnant…Hopefully, with continued practice they will go up.
