I did!

I should have applied to Princeton and Yale, too, on the same basis.

I did!

I should have applied to Princeton and Yale, too, on the same basis.

I did… I applied to Yale, UPenn, Harvard, and Dartmouth just because… Talk about a waste of money…

I guess you could say I did too. My parents could afford the application fee so I thought I’d take my chances. You never know, but I’m not expecting to get in at all.

haha
i did not
if i had 65 dollars. i could spend it a million other better ways “just for the lulz”

^ Your post brings me to a question I’ve always had…

Why do people browse forums for schools they didn’t apply to?

guilty!

lol i know that my chances are low, but for the academic program that i’m in, it’s tradition to apply to Harvard just for the heck of it. people like me are one of the reasons that the acceptance rates has decreased over the years.

i applied to 10 out of the top 15 schools. waste of money, eh?

well, 3 more days 'til we find out and i’ll be mad at myself for wasting the $75.

good luck to those who really want to get in, though. i hope that you get what you’re looking for.

Have you guys heard of fee waivers? I saved myself $700 by getting those…

How hard is it to get the fee waivers?

I can’t get a fee waiver if I can afford the application fee…even if I could, I wouldn’t since that’s taking away from someone who genuinely needs it.

i didn’t apply… it’s interesting to see who got in where and how waitlist spots may open as these kids go to other schools

I applied to Yale to just see what if

Got down right rejected, lol… but NO ONE in my high school has ever been accepted to Ivy league, I guess it’s because our school is obscure and in the middle of nowhere

lol just to answer goldenratiophi’s question…

people browse non-applicable forums because :

1) fodder on the forums is not soley restricted to the school in question… it can be about anything, and some schools tend to have more interesting conversations and quirkier CCers than others.

2) they are bored.

lmao one time I browsed the African American student forum, even though I’m not black at all. My reason fell under #2. :)

…I did!!

I did, but i still have a tiny bit of desire to attend if accepted. Princeton however, I applied to completely on a whim and have NO intention to attend even if accepted.

i think im qualified for harvard based on my stats, but i am in no was “exceptional” enough to go there…i applied on a whim and if I get in i may not even attend considering Id be like the bottom of the class lol

Guilty as charged. :3

LOL this is definitely me!

I meant I applied not for the lulz but because I actually would like to attend and I’m interested in their programs

Same here, NoName. I would love to attend myself.

But given that everyone who applies has a relatively low chance, why not laugh it off that you might not get accepted into one of nations most prestigious and wealthiest colleges?

If I don’t get into this school for my undergraduate, I’ll come back in four or five years and apply to the Harvard Business School.

That’s why no one applies to Harvard as a safety school.

I applied for the lulz of the Harvard admissions committee.
