My son is just finishing his junior year of high school and is very interested in Oklahoma State University. He plans on studying Music Education. Does anyone know anything about their Music Department? He is a trombone player and says they have a very good trombone choir. Does anyone know have difficult it is to be accepted into their music department? Any information would be greatly appreciated

Somekidsdad: I don’t know anything about Oklahoma but did run a search through the music forum and multiple threads came up when I used Oklahoma as the key word. So, under the music forum on the upper right will be tab where you can run a search through the entire music forum site. Once you’ve done that read through the threads and see if any of the people who posted have information that peaks your interest. Then you can send them a private message by clicking on their screen name and another menu will pop up letting you send them a private message or an email. Good luck and hopefully either BassDad or Violadad will respond with some links for you.

I don’t really know too much about the program, but the OSU studio is almost always well-represented in the International Trombone Association competitions each year. Somebody’s doing something right down there.
