Ole Miss

Idinct…the Academic Scholarship and Non-Residence Scholarship stack.

What is the non-resident scholarship? Their listing confuses me- because it said Academic non-resident $7938. Are these automatic, or fairly automatic, or non of the above?

I believe they are “automatic”, as long as your student fills out the freshman scholarship application. I know it is confusing, but keep in mind that the academic excellence and non resident scholarships stack. I believe that one of my daughter’s called financial aid and asked for clarification when they were going through the proecess. Everyone the girls spoke to were most patient and kind.

To the OP, the poster, mantori.suzuki, I believe his/her son will attend Ole Miss in the fall. They were on CC a lot in the college search, and maybe they can give you some insights on why they chose Ole Miss.

My rising high school junior is very interested in the Croft Institute for International Studies and the Flagship Chinese program (as well as the Honors College) and I am encouraging her because I think these programs look great, but she also loves playing in an orchestra. Does Ole Miss have one? I don’t think she will want to major or minor in music but I also don’t think she would want to give up violin. Any info?

Apollo6, mantori-suzuki’s son is in that flagship Chinese program; you may want to contact him.
