what should i do?

thanks!!

Please Help Me!!! +((((((((((((((((((((

Make sure you get your application in by the deadline, even if you don't have the other documents to send in. Most admissions offices won't hold delays against you that are not your fault, so long as you got your application in on time.

Most schools send out a notification if your file is incomplete and give you time to sort out the problem: In this case, you can start working it now.

currently wanting to cry like mad

thanks m's mom

this is so unfair T_T

i only left to throw out the garbage@@

what else can i do?

i called but its always busy and some schools don't check email

should i mail it?

I assume the 'it' you are referring to is your application. In this case, you might want to send it by courier (if you can afford it) so there is a tracking number. That way the application can't get lost. Or better, use the common application, if you schools will accept it.

You have my sympathy, but don't stress-this can be fixed. Bad grades, low test scores, poor recommendations can't be fixed. This is just administrative stuff.

I also think if you explain the situation to your school, they may waive the 3 week requirement, especially if you've been reliable in the past. Talk to your counselor and see if he/she can help you.

I'm sorry that your college application materials were stolen :( and while I don't have any solution other than notifying the school, I hope you can them back and everything works out ok :)

thanks................

I would try to re-do everything. I know it's hard but I would do whatever I can.

thanks

it is my secondary school form, international school form , transcript and school profile that were in the stolen back pack.....

crying relieved a lot of stress...sigh

Don't you have a copy? Doesn't your teachers/counselor have a copy? I have photocopies of everything.

Check the lost and found if you lost it at school..
My counselor said the unwritten deadline for teacher/counselor forms are a week or two after the deadline, but don't count on it.
good luck!

Stuff happens. Just make sure you immediately notify all of your colleges that your backpack was stolen with all of your supplemental materials. Most schools are reasonable if you explain yourself.

Breathe. It is going to be ok.

Make sure that the part that you are responsible for: the actual application piece that is to be filled out by you is submitted by the deadline.

the recommendations, mid year reports, transcripts and school profile are not due when the application is due (for most schools during the RD process this stuff is due to the college around february 15 after the 1st semester grades are completed. NYS students take the Regents exams until almost the end of january).

Worse case scenario, the school will just send you a letter stating that your file is incomplete. Even still I have dealth with very few Admissions Reps that are so inflexible that they would not extend a professional courtesy to a GC if the GC should call and explain the situation.

I know admissions officers who have allowed me to FAX a kid's transcript after calling, I have scanned them in an e-mailed the pdf, I have sent them overnight mail. Contrary to what you may think they really are human and they understand that life happens.

i do have a copy, actually i have 3 copies, which were ALL in the backpack @@

thanks guys

I notified all my schools and I was lucky enough to have everything ready today

thanks everyone!
