UPenn apparently didn't receive my counselor's recommendation letter, and I applied ED... Is there still a chance that if I get it sent ASAP that I'm still considered? Or do they usually give a good time period before ruling an applicant out? Or am I automatically out..? I'm scared. =[ Someone please answer me lol

Contact them to make sure they actually didn’t get it, and it’s not just some processing error.

Mine isn’t “in” yet either. they haven’t processed everything yet. Chill.

wofbharatj the same thing happened to me and after i wrote to the admissions office, they replied “Your transcript and counselor recommendation are in your file. There was probably an error on our part, but I apologize for the confusion. There is no need to send either document again.” i cant be sure but i think your situation is similar so no worries:)

I called them, they said exactly what Staller said. Thanks, sorry about the freak-out =P

I called my regional coordinator today about the exact same issue. It turns out that the letter was in my file, but there was a technology glitch (possibly a scanning error), resulting in the counselor’s letter not being registered as received. Still, you should call your regional coordinator to make sure that the letter is in good hands. Best of luck!

I emailed them yesterday about a missing transcript (My counselor rec showed up as received so I know they have it) but I haven’t gotten anything yet… and I can’t call because of my internship… anyone think I should be worried? :S

aren’t counselor recs and trascripts usually sent together? I’m sure its fine
