Penn Counselor Recommendation Not Satisfied

Hey Guys
I applied early to Penn and they have started to track my application materials. I applied by courier, fyi I am in International student. My couselor sent my Secondary school Report and the recommendation in the same envelope and the Report is shown as 'Satisfied'. Everything else is also satisfied.

Whats happening?? Is it a system glitch ( highly improbable) or have they not received my stuff? I called them and the lady said that if anything is missing they will contact me but I still want a CC explanation as to why it shows that it is still 'Not-Satisfied'. Does anyone else still have this problem?? (Please say Yes :) )

Actually, a system glitch is highly probable, and yes, a lot of others have experienced this as well.

I have that exact problem. However, I called my regional coordinator on Monday afternoon. He physically checked my file and confirmed that the counselor recommendation was in it. He attributed its marking of “not satisfied” to a system glitch, and he sent in a request to have it changed to satisfied on my portal (not that it really matters if it’s in the file). I recommend that you do the same in order to verify that the recommendation was received.

wow thanks guys. I will call her on Monday.

This happened to me last week too. My GC at school called the Regional Admin contact for my school and the next day it was showing that everything was in order. I would definitely call because I think if you just assume it’s a system error you may end up missing something. Good luck!+

I called admissions since I was having the same problem and they told me that if something is actually missing, they will personally email you and let you know, and to not count so much on what the portal says.

great thanks guys.

I sure hope they got my transcript, which the tracker claims is missing… but that’s not possible, since they got my Counselor Rec. :S

its all fixed now. Thank God!! I was starting to lose faith in Penn.

I actually had the same issue [checked it once or twice during Thanksgiving break], and was going to talk to my counselor about it Monday, when I checked maybe an hour ago and it was marked satisfied! :)
