OK. so heres my problem. i am a us citizen, but i live overseas. so i thought, yo, im not going to be considered against the international pool. this sounds lame-- but the number of applicants they admit significantly decreases in terms of international applicants. but check this out:

Am I an international student? (BACK TO TOP)
At Trinity, we distinguish our international students in two ways. You are a foreign student if, regardless of where you went to secondary school, you are neither a citizen nor a permanent resident of the United States. You are an overseas student if, regardless of your countrys citizenship, you attended secondary school outside of the United States.

I AM SO CONFUSED. My dad's company sends out a letter to the colleges we are applying to stating that our company is based in houston, but we are on temporary leave. the problem is that I JUST GOT THE LETTER. and i submitted my early action form early december. should i send the letter, will it even be considered if their admissions decision has already been made!?

But if your temporary leave is very short and you can guarantee that you’ll be living in the states from now on then you should be fine. It’ll depend on how they react to your dad’s letter.

You’re a US citizen. You apply as a US citizen. I live in the UK but have an american passport, and I could not apply as an international. You certainly cannot.

Wait a minute, you didn’t attend high school outside of US did you? Then, no, you can’t apply as international. I thought your temporary leave meant you attended h.s. outside of US for some reason.
