Before I alarm anyone, I have no intention of Academic Dishonesty against UCI or any other school. I am aware that what I did has serious consequences. I’m staring at them right now.
I am a (going to be transfer) student who attended 4 community colleges from '11 to now.
I had less than 1.0 GPA(Basically nothing transferable) and had issues with probation due to low gpa…
Three years ago, I enrolled in yet another community college and now have earned 60+ transferable units with a GPA of 3.41. Just enough to squeak into UCI TAG.
I was reassured that the transfer GPA was not an issue, and I know this because I went to those previous community colleges and petitioned and received academic forgiveness via admin counseling. I am 8 units in completing a 15 unit completion of the Honors Transfer Certificate. However because I omitted my previous history to my current cc, I am worried about what will happen when I apply for transfer this fall?
My issues are that:
I wrongfully participated in honors classes, even though I knew my GPA was bad.
I omitted my previous cc history on the application to this last CC
Although I never received fafsa, I did get BOGW, so Ferpa act is out.
How can my current CC harm my transfer to UCI?
Can I transfer back into a previous CC, forward every transcript, complete my transfer application with honesty at that forementioned cc?
Can I peacefully admit my error as a mistake that I see now it was, somehow convince my CC to amend it and still do my transfer?
I have huge gaps in my knowledge about the transfer process and I need to discuss my options. The counselors at my previous cc rushed me out the door. Halp.
