Omitted SAT score on Common App

Okay, I think I was seriously out of my mind.. omg

I did not put my SAT score on Common App and sent the applications to like.. five schools..
sigh. My friend told me that they would notice it and give me a chance to fix it or something, but IDK what to do. . . . I sent them my scores through College Board though..

But here is my main concern after they see my scores: would they see me as like,, an unprepared student? would it seriously affect their decisions? sigh sigh sigh.. PLEASE ANSWER MEEE T^T

But you did send your scores, right ?

The self report section is in common app but schools rely more on the actual report from collegeboard. That way they know how to superscore, get the latest scores, etc.

I think it is safe for you to defreak.

What you self-report is meaningless. YOu could say you scored 400 three times. It wouldn’t matter b/c the CB report is the official report.

“My friend told me that they would notice it and give me a chance to fix it or something”

Also – if any portion of your app was missing or incomplete, do you think they’d just shred your file? They would contact you. Imagine that.

No need to freak out. Your reaction isn’t unusual. Between now and the next two weeks, about 800 similar posts will be made here on CC roughly crying about the same thing: “just missed a deadline” “made a typo” “forgot to cross a T”

Really, relax. Colleges WANT TO ADMIT YOU.

Don’t worry. The schools will let you know if you are missing anything. They will not hold it against you. They go by the official score sent by college board.
