How many questions did you omit on each section and how did it relate to your score?
Just curious to see :)

hmm anyone?

Hm anyone?

You should just look at the PSAT scoring chart. It’ll give you all the information you need.

I omitted nothing on the test… generally it is better to take an educated guess than it is to just skip it entirely. I made it a goal this year to not skip anything, and my score improved 44 points from last year (175 to 219).

So try and not skip!

Why would anyone skip? Take a look at the probability. If you entirely guess the whole thing, you won’t lose any marks, because it’s still zero. So, if you are certain that 2 or 3 answers are probable you should really take a guess. If you win, you get 1 point. If you lose, you lose 0.2 points. Assuming you have 2 choices, then 1/5-0.2(1/5)=positive.

If 3, then 1/5-0.2(2/5) which is still positive.

If 5, it is zero.
