Does anyone know if off-campus interviews are viewed less favorably for URochester? I’m sure not, but just wanted to make sure. I live in New York City, so Rochester is in my home state but is still a long drive away. I already paid a visit there once in spring, but didn’t interview.
It is fine to interview near home.
No problem. They offer a ton of interviews, and if all the spots get booked, they are good about offering more. They definitely encourage an interview, so make the effort.
You can definitely schedule an interview with a UofR representative (admissions officer) in your area. I don’t think it is seen less favorable. Interviews are highly encouraged compared to the expectations of other universities.
My son interviewed a 6 hour drive from Campus. The fact you are going to go to the effort to have an interview is what will be noted.
