Does it make a difference if you interview off campus or on campus? I probably could interview on campus, but it would have to be in summer, would that be a problem? Does interviewing on campus help your chances? Thanks!

As far as I know, it’s stated in the Exeter website that they consider off-campus interviews ‘as seriously’ as on-campus ones, but … well, who knows? Except I’ve heard that interviews affect your chance A LOT and off-campus ones might not be able to make an effect as great as on-campus ones to the interviewers.

I would say it depends…
if the off campus interviewer is an alum then he or she will probably NOT be sitting down at the table when the committee sits down to review the applications. If it is an Admissions Officer ( AO) then they will be. Every AO has a pile of their “favorite” applicants: people who interviewed well and made a strong impression.(When you consider that each and every school could fill its ranks multiple times over with “qualifed” applicants, the chosen ones are those that make an impression). These are the kids the AOs go to bat for, if you are not one of them I would be afraid that no one would be rooting for you in the same way ( Any AOs out there, feel free to contradict)
So IMHO, interview ON campus unless AOs are doing the interviewing.
Plus in any case, you need to see the school- you can’t possibly tell if its a “fit” for you unless you do
