On-Ramps Statistics or AP Calculus AB/BC for Computer Science?

I want to know which class will be more useful when I am completing my degree as a BA or BS in Computer Science. I have already been accepted into Texas State University for Fall 2019, so I am not worried about becoming admitted; I am now concerned about the senior classes I will take next year, and how they will benefit me in the long run. Which class will be more beneficial for my major?

You need both in your curriculum for the BS. I’d lean towards taking the Calculus class IF you have a good teacher. It will knock out two courses. The OnRamps class, just one…I think. Verify to be certain.

http://mycatalog.txstate.edu/undergraduate/science-engineering/computer/computer-science-bs/ indicates that Texas State CS requires calculus 1 and 2 (MATH 2471 and 2472) and calculus-based statistics (MATH 3305 whose prerequisite is 2472).

Since it looks like OnRamps statistics is not calculus-based (since you can choose it as an alternative to calculus), it will not be useful at fulfilling any requirements for Texas State CS, while calculus AB or BC can be used to fulfill part or all of the calculus requirement depending on your score, according to http://www.txstate.edu/temc/studentTesting/examsforCrdit/ap.html .

So calculus will be more useful.
