On the reality of the Half-Blood Prince ***SPOILERS***

I'm proud to say that I was right about the Prince's identity. I really, really liked that it was Snape. Overall, I thought the book was brilliant--but god, I can't deal with Evil!Snape. The whole thing seems like a such waste of the most enigmatic character of the series. I refuse to believe that this is all there is to it. I'm clinging to every theory I can find, and I've read some plausible ones, but right now it's not looking good. More on that in my livejournal: http://www.livejournal.com/users/__gingerbread/25818.html.

This is the place where disillusioned Snape fans rant. Let's commiserate together in these dark times. Please tell me I'm not alone here.

Okay, I'm going to leave now and get started on my dissertation, Loving Severus Snape: An Impassioned Defense of a Flawed (But Not Evil) Man. Clearly I'm dangerously nearing the edge of sanity with this one.
