So I didn’t get to bubble in all my answers bc of a bad testing strategy…
How will my first ACT score affect chances at UC Berkeley or the other schools that require all scores if it’s mid 20’s?
How many times do I have to retake for them to overlook it as maybe a bad day?
ex. first time taking it: bad score (24)
second time taking it: good score (32)
You posted in the Caltech forum. Probably you meant to post in the UC Berkeley forum.
Caltech allows score choice, so you wouldn’t need to send scores you don’t like. But, for the UCs you are told to send all scores. I’ve seen people say that UC readers mostly only look at the highest score and probably some indication of how many times you took it.
It doesn’t help at all to have multiple times getting the same score. So, if you don’t think there’s a chance of getting a 33+, I’ve stick with the 32.
