One week left!

Hey everyone,

As the SAT Reasoning October draws near, how are YOU coping with the stress? Any last revisions? Critical Reading panics? Sweating about math yet?

I myself am really nervous about the CR section. :/ Gotta keep boning that part up.

I’m trying to keep my Math consistent, I usually understand how to solve most of the problems, but it’s the damn wording of the problems that makes me miss them. It’s really disheartening to see your score drop 50+ points because you read the problem wrong…

At this point there is not much you can do besides review what you studied. Remember stay calm and be confident in yourself (if it helps, think of all the unprepared people taking the test, because they will bring the average down you will get a higher score, this usually happens in OCT and NOV.) Best of luck to you guys in CC.

Maths - not really worried
Reading - mainly vocab
Writing - essay is a big problem for me.

Taking one last practice test today, then taking it easy next week.

I’m torn in my feelings. I’m excited because it means the application process is really underway now. I’m nervous about scoring really badly on the math section. I’m hopeful in that I keep telling myself one bad section on the SAT isn’t going to be the difference between my acceptance and rejection at my colleges. I’m frustrated that I didn’t study sooner. And I’m a bit dazed because it still doesn’t seem real.

I’m split on the situation, though I do expect to do better than my ACT score ofcourse.

gahhhhhhh 5 days left!

this too shall pass

gahhhhhh 3 days left!

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

i need to rape cr

not enough timeeeeee

yeah i’m very nervous I do well in math writing and reading. Only problem is even for the hardest problems on CR i get most of them all right but i’m always unsure and down to two choices and while my instincts lead me to pick the correct answer, most of the time i can’t fully justify why the answer i picked is the stronger/correct answer so yeah i’m udner the impressions i’m just getting lucky constantly.

Math certain things trip me up eh. Writing i just have to hope for a good day and get momentum going and and not doubt myself on correct as written and yeah i hope it’s a very easy, current-events based prompt.

CR - Vocab is the biggest problem for me. Last Practice test I did, I got 46 out of 48 correct on the passage-based reading while only 13 out of 19 correct on sentence completion. I’m thinking about giving all I have to vocab in these last 3-4 days because that’s the only main difference in me getting a 670-690 and me getting a 720-750. It’s still pretty encouraging considering the fact that I only got 540 in May.

Math - F UCK I tend to make sooo many silly mistakes. The only thing coming between me and an 800 in Math are the effing stupid mistakes and not reading the question properly. Though there are some questions, about 3-4 out of the 54 which make me think a lot before I can come up with a logic to solve them and these are the problems which usually drain up my whole time. Got 730 in May (that too because of 3 silly mistakes) and I seriously want to get above 750 this time.

Writing - The Error Identifying section is not going very well for me. I am mainly facing problems in the questions where there is no error. I usually put an error when there is no error and no error when there is usually is a small one. Got only 14/18 in these. The Sentence Improving part isn’t giving me much problems although I do tend to get some wrong. Got 23/25 last time. If I can improve my Error Identification questions, this too would be a 700+. But currently its in the 650-690 range.

If I continue performing like I am right now I’ll get something in the low 2000s while if I do the things I have mentioned like studying a lot of vocab and practicing math and improving error identifications, I hope to get above 2100.

I am ready to kick collegeboard’s a$$. feeling pretty confident except that homecoming is on the same day. f***

I just finished taking a practice test. The blue book 2nd edition test #1 (yes pathetically so far I’ve only taken this one practice test)… I got a 700 CR and 730 Maths. Not sure about writing so I’m gonna get people here to help score my essay! I’m sooo ****ed because a 700CR is hanging on a cliff… A 690 and a 710 are very different scores and I’m just scared that I’ll screw up on the real test and end up with a ugly looking 690 or even less.

ahsanxr: SAME HERE! i always forget to divide 2x by 2 to get the x… or i misread the question etc… :@

I think I’m gonna have a panic attack before the test :p

Writing…I’m pretty constant. Get 1-2 mc wrong, essay is almost always 10.
CR…Jamming in vocab constantly!
Math…I hate those ‘medium’ mc! I tend to get everything BUT them wrong. =(

you hate the “medium mc” because they’re the only thing you get right?

Wow, few more days… omgomogomg

I’m really worried I’ll mess up on math, cause I always make stupid dumb mistakes or don’t read the question properly and things like that.
CR and Writing so far aren’t my concerns that much, cause on all practice tests I was in the 700-800, but math…God help me(or whichever saint that doesn’t have his hands that full that day)

I don’t know if it was me just exhausted and not being able to concentrate properly, but on the CR sections I did today, I found a lot of level 2-3 difficulty questions very difficult and confusing. Got a 640 today as opposed to the 690 yesterday :(

55.5 hours left! D:
