We are coming to Scripps, too! I'm looking forward to sunny CA weather. However, I can not complain about this week - it is finally spring here in Seattle. My daughter is also doing an overnight, and I'll be there for the Friday dog and pony show. I'll see you in Claremont!

the campus is amazing. not just through apperance but just overall feel. i think its nice that its so quiet and peaceful because you can relax (even at night) if you like and then walk one block and be a crazy party. but during the day the campus is filled with all different claremont students just hanging out, it seems fun.
the people also seem really nice. thats kind of my biggest worry about scripps; whether or not ill be able to find a group of friends that are like me, because i kind of like to go out alot. but everyone i met was friendly and all the girls seem very intelligent.
i sat in about 4 classes and was blown away by them all. both by the professors and the students, its a very insipiring atmostphere. the girls in the classes were constantly questioning the material, giving insights, and proposing alternative ideas... the classes at scripps seem like they are able to give women a chance to push their thinking and encounter different ideas but in a supportive environment. the classes were my favorite part about the visit.

I am visiting soon, and I am very excited. Annak, I also like to go out a lot, but I heard that students in the Claremont college just kind of stay on campus. Maybe if we are classmates we can always gather a group of girls and go out together! x)
