Oneonta vs. Geneseo for economics?

I’m currently a second year student at SUNY Oneonta and am changing my major to economics. I definitely like going to college here and I made some wonderful friends but I’m not sure how strong the economics program is here. I saw they only had 7 economics graduates this year which kind of alarmed me. I know SUNY Geneseo is academically a better school so would it be worth a transfer to Geneseo to pursue an economics major? I’m just worried about having to start over and make friends etc. so would this be a smart decision as far as having good job prospects and a reputable degree or does Oneonta have a good program?

I’d say that Geneseo is a better program but only you can know whether it’s worth it academically.
As for having seven graduates, for a university Oneonta size, I agree it’s very few, but it might be that some students major in business or management instead?
What are your goals, grad school or finding a job after college?

I’m hoping to find a job right after college possibly in business. I’m not entirely sure what I want to do yet but I figured an economics degree would be a nice versatile degree to have if I ever decided to change career paths.
