I had a question about online ap courses, are they accepted by most colleges? The program is called apexlearning and I wanted to know if I can take them and will they count on the transcript and gpa? Any advice would be appreciated

What’s important in determining that is accreditation.

"Apex Learning is committed to high standards, academic excellence, and success for all students. Since 1999, Apex Learning has been accredited as a Distance Education School by the Commission on Schools of the Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC). The certificate of accreditation recognizes Apex Learning for promoting and maintaining a well-balanced education program and for exceeding standards considered essential for quality education.

Apex Learning courses have been approved by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) as meeting the requirements for establishing the initial-eligibility certification status for high school student-athletes wishing to compete in college. Please visit the NCAA website and enter Apex Learning as the school name to review the list of approved courses."

Generally, it’s best to have some regional accreditation, like the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) or its northwestern counterpart, the NWAC. From its website:

"The Northwest Accreditation Commission, formerly the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools accredits distance education, elementary, foreign nation, high, K 12, middle level, post secondary nondegree granting, residential, special purpose, supplementary education, and travel education schools.

The Northwest Accreditation Commission is one of the nation’s six acknowledged accreditation agencies. The geographic territory of the Association consists of the states of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Washington, and other worldwide geographical areas designated from time to time by the Board of Trustees."

So with regional accreditation, most schools should accept it. Be sure to call and ask the schools you’re interested in.
