I've taken quite a few and while they save you time in you commute and sitting through class lectures - they are designed for you to make up the class time. They can be more difficult than you think because unlike some classes where you show up and listen to the lectures and take exams here and there, you may have weekly reading assignments plus discussions to participate in, short essays, quizs, group projects and individual projects/papers or exams. It's work, but just make sure to do all the assignments and as soon as possible so that you don't fall behind. If you stay on top of things you can get an A. I have taken a music class online and that was one of the easiest I've taken online. Not sure about the other. Every online class is different.

I've taken several, loved every one.

Worst experience of my life. If you're willing to be proactive enough and, I cannot stress this enough, don't put everything off until the last minute, then you should be fine. I do everything the last minute and I did not enjoy my online class

Lot's of reading, limited interaction, difficult to receive clarification and not much room for slacking. I don't care for them.

The online classes I took "at" Mission were so-so, West Valley better though somewhat tough in comparison, and De Anza's is probably the best so far. I like discussions online better since I'm pretty shy, but it's not for everyone. My instructors were fairly accessible too. I like De Anza's Catalyst system more than Mission/West Valley's ANGEL system.

Foothill online classes are really good. I've taken a lot and they save me a lot of time and I still learn a lot. Granted- you have to stay on top of things, but if you're a proactive learner it should be no problem. The system for Foothill (Etudes) is really easy to navigate around and I think they advertise themselves as having the most course offerings online in the Bay Area.

I LOVE ONLINE CLASSES!

I just took 5 of them this spring to do some lower div crap for my second bachelor and it was awesome.

I procrastinate a lot but it is not a problem for me to do everything the night b4. I never got anything other than an A in an online class.

This semester i took
Financial Accounting
Business Law
Intro International Politics
Cultural Geography
Intro Sociology

Others i have taken are
Microeconomics
Early History
Intro Philosophy
Ethics Philosophy

But i am one of those people that rarely attends class, i hate going to class and i find lectures a waste of my time and usless unless it is some amazing teacher that doesnt use a book. If there is a book, i do not go..... aside from math of course.

Wow, that's insane!
