Foothill CC students and alums?

(Couldn't think of a better spot to post)

I am an out of state student at a 4 year college looking to take some courses over the summer while working part-time in nearby Palo Alto.
How is summer school at foothill?
Recommend any classes or professors?
I'm just hoping to take classes to that would transfer to a legit 4 year school, not necessarily take any specific class for my major.

I went on the foothill course catalog by department and didn't see a lot of summer classes, and most of them were "ONLINE". Does this mean they are totally distance learning or does it mean the lectures are done online and you take the tests or submit the papers in person?

Kmizzle,
Thank you for the link, I hadn't seen that site before. However, my concern is more with just finding classes that are a typical 4 year college might offer in the classic academic departments. My current out of state private college has no problem accepting CC credits provided they aren't basketweaving or phys. ed.

Gratuitous bump

Brackis--

Summer session won't have as many classes, and they'll be crammed into 8 weeks vs the normal 12 weeks as well. With that said, have you also checked out De Anza's summer session classes? De Anza is about 10 minutes or so away from Foothill, in Cupertino.

I don't know if these classes will necessarily be in session, but here are my recommendations:

Foothill:
English 11--Into to Poetry by Doren Robbins
Music 8 or any music class taught by Professor Hartwell
Comm 1A with Lauren Velasco

De Anza:
Sociology 5 by Rich Wood
Business Law I
History 4A with Margaret Stevens
Art 1A

Ratemyprofessor.com is your friend. Take the easiest classes available (Intro to Art or Intro to Music and so on...) with the easiest professors, but take like three or four of them.
De Anza, as poppin mentioned, has plenty of summer classes and is not far from Foothill
