Online courses? Need suggestions

I want to take AP Bio or Regular Chemistry online to boost my GPA and supplement my courses (AP Bio especially so I can take the subject test).

I looked at Florida Online School, however the cost is pretty steep (400$ for half a credit), so I was wondering if there were any other alternatives or is this the norm.

My state offers e-school but its mainly aimed towards credit recovery so it doesn't offer these courses.

Any suggestions?

You could take a course, as you said, through FLVS. Also, if you can take it for honors credit, take community college(much cheaper than FLVS, but I do live in CA, so I don't know if it's as cheap at HI), or college courses.

If you apply to ivies, they require students to have a 5 on the AP test, usually, so a college course might not guarantee credit in an ivy league school.

The ivies don't require 5s on the APs. To get credit for the school, most require a 4 or a 5, but if you are just taking the class to look good, even a 3 would be OK.

To the OP:

Try Keystone National High School. I think that AP Bio is about $400 and it's a full credit course.

My high school (yes, it's public) tends to have kid on independant study do so through BYU, I'm doing it myself with AP Bio, and have actually found it to be decent, better than the live science classes I have taken in my three years in high school.
