Online couses/classes

anyone recommend any good online courses/classes

Uh... that's really broad.

Do you want math, history, science?
Requirements or electives?
How much do you want to spend?
Etc.

Go take:

-Pikachu's perspective on 9/11
-Using modern psychology to interpret the actions of Cro-Magnons and Neanderthals
-Chaos Theory as a means of escaping the ice capades
-The composition of ketchup.

All of those will do you of good service.

^ lmfao this thread needs to get off the pokemon kick.

hmm ive taken: Personal fitness, physical education, health, ap micro economics, ap art history, algebra 2, chemistry, and 3 weeks of biology before i got angry and quit. online classes kinda suck

How exactly do the lectures work for online classes?

LOL how did you do physical education online? Without the actual exercise that would just be a REALLY boring course.

I have/am taking 3 online courses through my states online system: Career and Life Skills (required for grad.), Modern History of Hawaii (required for grad.), and APUSH.

I took a speech class online this summer.

From what I heard from those Florida kids, the people "call your parents" and check if you actually did the exercise or not (like ran the mile). The guy apparently finished the course in 5 days. It's BS, really...

I'm really interested in taking a fantasy lecture course on the history of elves (just elves, plz, no orcs or any sort of that other pseudomythological garbage), and the impact of pokemon and other games/cartoons in our lives. If such a course existed for the latter...

Well, from personal experience, I would suggest you not take a science class because they are hard to learn without lecture, IMO.

Aren't online classes all lectures...?

...or do they e-mail you an attached sheets of microsoft word describing the effects of intoxication?

I finished half of the course in about 5 days, my friend, lol.

They didn't even call my parents. What happened was I called my teacher and we talked about just stuff and then she went on to her questions. She reviewed me some of the modules and asked me questions (which I all knew) and we finished all 4 (Required) oral components in one phone conversation. I told her I was babysitting and had time to finish a lot. She goes oh, well have your mom call me before you finish the course, and if she has any questions she can ask if not just have her call and leave me a voicemail so she's aware. She didn't say a word about exercising at all.

I still have to finish about 4 more days of exercising and then I am finished with the class. I took the final exam.

well for most people PE is a joke but not for me... my mom used to be a PE teacher and as a result she takes it seriously and won't sign any of the forms unless i actually do it. so i have actually completed EVERY activity lol its not cool. and on flvs there are no lectures except for maybe one or two depending on the course its just like a bunch of individual written lessons and some courses provide you with online text books... but you can always call the teacher if you have a question or need help

There are webinars, which I guess you could consider to be a lecture. The software Elluminate is used where the teacher has a virtual whiteboard and speaks live. In most other classes you're just given the reading material (which most often consists of outside links) and then an assignment.
