<p>No, they invite "high achieving applicants" to a reception in their area basically to recruit them. I actually thought it was fun when I went last year. I met alot of people.</p>

UC GPA maxed out [4.3ish at my high school + csus classes]
2240 SAT
ECs = ballet for 14 years, prez of french club & founder of another
essays = pretty good i think</p>
