Online Decisions?

yea i remember my friend checking and starting from an hour before the deadline and it came up 10 - 15 minutes before the scheduled time.

drop65, are you matthew park from hunter or not? dont worry, no one is gonna stalk you...

i've just been looking in on the columbia and dartmouth sites... lucky kids already get to find out. someone posted up a letter of acceptance... that made me so happy to read even though it was not for me. i can't imagine getting that! haha. anyway, i hope it can go well for all of us next week...

well with other decisions out, i'm depressed now...

harvardman: wrong school, but matt's one of my best friends. Do i know you by any chance?

I have to work until 9:30, so I'm probably going to be speeding down the highway to get home to my decision. (J/K!!!!) Who knows, I might even wait until the morning to find out if I got in or not. Then again, my mom might sneak online while I'm at work to see the decision. I'm telling you, I have some extremely nosey family members lol. My aunt has opened EVERY letter I've gotten from Penn. She thought it was a decision, but it was just the letter telling me they received everything.

Is there a chance they could be on the web on the 10th, like last year?

Socrates: My family's the same way. The other day my mom saw me here on the CC site and she say Penn at the top and started looking around for an admission decision, which, of course, there was none.

My parents are pretty understanding people, but my mom really got ****ed at me for my first SAT scores in March (on which I did horribly). She was more or less acting like a typical, closeminded parent, but it was true when she told me I can't get into top schools with my scores (something in the 500s in CR, 500s in W, and math was okay). I studied everyday of the summer and was luckily able to pull my original SAT score up by approximately 300 points.

Sorry if I'm digressing here, but Re en Kam's last post sounded like his mom kinda acts like mine in that she might say she won't be disappointed if I don't get in, but her emotions will really show when I tell her I was rejected/deferred.

Wait - Did everyone get a letter saying that Penn had received everything? I never did! I thought you just got one if you were missing something.

I always though you got one if you were missing something and if you were missing something, they sent you a confirmation letter saying they got everything now

Thanks. I think I would have heard by email too, if there was something missing.

hm..i received one tt told me tt they received my stuff n i shld be expecting my decisions on 14dec

elemental - This was in addition to the PIN letter?

yes.. i got my pin online. i also have this blue postcard, then this letter came along.. telling me tt they have received all my materials and i shld be expecting my decision on 14th.

That's weird. My PIN letter with the Dec. 14 date just says "we have received your application for admission to the University of Pennsylvania . . . " Doesn't say anything about receiving all my materials. Anyone else get the same PIN letter I did with no additional letter?

elemental_rights... did the letter have your pin too? cuz none of us got his letter

yea i got the same letter as you, it said nothing about having everything or missing anything. Maybe elemental got his letter b/c an international (at least i think he his, maybe i made that up)

I wouldn't worry, if you got your pin then you will be considered for admission because you have the minimal information needed.

drop65, you said you were the president of the investors club or something in hunter... that person is matthew park. if you are not matthew park, then who the hell is matthew park? so you must be matthew park, right? matthew park?
