Hey guys! I’m going to have an interview tomorrow with an online EC. I’m looking for advice so that I can really nail the interview. If anyone could help, it’d be much appreciated.
Just be yourself. I remember my MIT interview (which was in person) was pretty casual and more like a conversation where you talk about your interests, why MIT appeals to you, etc.
@MITer94 It’s actually tonight. Should I wear a T-Shirt like I normally would or a polo shirt? I don’t know the extent of how casually I should dress without coming across as indifferent.
I wore a nice polo for my interview.
Since your interview is online, I presume you’re using Skype or some similar video-chatting software for the interview, so I doubt choice of clothing matters that much. Either a polo or a “nice” (e.g. not containing offensive material) t-shirt should do. I also don’t recommend wearing Harvard or Caltech shirts…just so you know
