So the application status check went down a few days ago and letters are being mailed out on Friday, March 30th. Are we going to be able to check online, or do we have to wait for the lightning fast postal service?

wait for the snail mail

so online wont be back up?

status check will be up on march 31

yea im going to guess that miltan has no idea what he's talking about
neither do i, but I know that I found out I was deferred online, so I can't imagine that they would discontinue that system now.
i'd say check around 5:00 or after on the 30th. if it's not up, check again 24 hours later. if not then I'm wrong and i'll apologize to milton bradley.

My friends are hearing from Ivy's today so I logged into UGA status check to see what's up.

It no longer says anything about status check being up again. Just that letters are being mailed tommorrow.

Are they going to dive a semi to the Augusta Post Office at 8AM?

I think you mean Athens.

Too late to edit. I am an idiot.

Well, anyway, good luck to the ED deferred and RD people.

fine i admit i was wrong.

we forgive you :P

anyway, i live in southeast georgia, so im hoping that Ill get my letter/package saturday before I check online...

I can't believe it's been 3 1/2 months since I got deferred. Absolutely no correspondence like post cards or junk mail from the school until some newsletter with Jimmy Carter (who else?) on the cover came yesterday.
Second page was an article about how many applications they got this year. Something like 16,000 with over 10,000 EA because of the really easy EA app.
They made alot of money from app fees.

i have recieved nothing from UGA since the 'diversity newsletter' (who cares?) in like november. im taking this to mean maybe I got denied so why waste the paper?

Looks I was wrong.
That's pretty wack though. Why would they switch it up like that?

You Asked:
status check

Quick Answer

You can check on the status of your admissions application on the Undergraduate Application Status Check feature found on our Admissions web site. This status check will indicate application items that have been processed as well as missing items. We encourage you to view the online status check at least once a week to ensure that we have received all pertinent materials. Please note that it takes 48 hours for processed materials to appear on the status check. Your admissions decision, once determined, will also be posted there.
Who knows

what I dont understand is that if they made our decisions about a week ago (when the office of admissions was said to have opened up), why dont they just post it now? i know it may sound like im crazy, but i am freaking out about this because Georgia is my absolute #1, all my friends (except 1) have been accepted, and according to my counselor, I should have been accepted in November (based on whats shes seen since she came to my school 10 years ago).

Online notification is up
and I'm out.
