Online Registration Advice Needed

A quick question: my D (an incoming Tisch drama student) did her online registration today at noon, with everyone else. She signed up for a class that she has to take, but is wondering if she can go online and change the section and time, if another section and time is still open. Can she do that? And if she does log back in to select another time, does that mean she will automatically lose the time she has, which will be a problem if she can't find another open time?

NOCCA Jr., this is for that required writing class. She stuck herself with the section that meets from 3:30 -4:45, which isn't that big a deal, except on those four Mondays where she will have to be at the lecture part from 7 to 9. Any advice? Or should she just stick with what she was able to grab (which was that writing section and ITP, which was her second choice. She had wanted ITS, but I am thinking after what you told me that ITP might be a good thing to have first semester, as it's less writing, apparently.)

im in photo and im having the same issues because I have a lecture at 7 to 9 on four mondays. so confused.

DM290, I think that all of the sections of Writing the Essay have a series of lectures that meet from 7 to 9 p.m. four times a semester. That course also requires a smaller "recitation" class that meets every Monday and Weds. earlier in the day. But there seems no getting around the 7 to 9 p.m. class.

thanks! yeah after all said and done, I have 12 credits for the fall semester with all my required classes. That leaves room for 1 liberal arts class, so I signed up for a drama theory course, under dramatic literature section, however I'm on the waitlist for that class. It's frustrating that they dont let you wait on more than one list (since I have certain required classes that narrows done the field of liberal arts classes that are available), so the ones that were available were closed out already! so annoying because I dont wanna not get into that class and then find myself back from where i started with an open spot for liberal arts class. sorry if that was confsuing I just need to vent hah

As frustrating as the online registration was for your regular-decision candidates, it's very easy compared with what people in my (your parents') generation went through. We had to basically go in person and stand in lines with paper and pencil, trying to work out what classes were open and would meet the requirements and fit into our schedules, timewise. Sorry to seem like the old lady saying "When I was young, I had to walk uphill to school in the snow both ways ..." :) Just glad you worked it out.

If I am first on the waitlist, is it likely that I'll be enrolled in the class?

It's pretty likely, almost certain.

OK, thanks. The Japanese class that I signed up for was full, and I was pretty disappointed, but now I know I've got a good chance of getting in. : )

Are all of the other ones full, as well?

Yeah, they are.

Thanks notmamarose.

wait so if your waitlisted for a liberal arts class it's not something to worry about because I got into all my required classes and then for my humanities credit I am on a waitlist for a drama theory class which I really wanna get into. So I guess in my paranoid state I am trying to say--is it a good chance to get in to waitlisted classes?
