Classes closed already?

Isn't ConWest/World Culture required freshman year? And doesn't freshman class registration start today at 12 PM EST? I looked at the class list and 99.9% of the ConWest/World Culture classes were "closed".

Yeah, this is also what I'm worried about.

Someone said before that these classes were listed as 'closed' because they were reserved for the freshmen orientations.

Yeah, I just tried registering through Albert and all my classes went through, despite being labeled as closed in the course search page.

I'm confused, where's the list of freshman class requirements, and how do you regester via ALbert?

just went on regestration link on my ALbert and it says

"Your Registration Eligibility Status for Fall 2008

You are NOT ELIGIBLE to register for this term -- at this time. "

macgirl...you an incoming Freshman?

Tisch students are able to register at this point. CASers register during their orientation.

I'm a Tisch student and I registered at noon today.

hey guys! im in tisch and I registered for some of my classes but I was confused how to get the codes for the liberal arts classes. Im happy though because I got the professor I wanted though for one of my classes! It's just that when you search to add the course you need to write its code. Its so frustrating!!!!! Also, I know it differs from the tisch programs but how many liberal arts classes are people generally taking? Whenever I call the office they're like read the pamphlet, which I must have read a million times! haha thanks

Sorry, should have specified that I'm in Tisch.

DM290, what exactly are you confused about? The call numbers? They're listed both in the pdf file of Tisch requirements and through the course search page here: NYU > University Registrar > Course Search > Class Schedule Search. Just look up the right category for the class you want to take.

Are you asking how many liberal arts classes people take overall or per semester? For my first semester I'm taking four classes; my major requirement, a foreign language, ConWest, and Writing the Essay.

wow thanks. i have never seen that website before. i appreciate it!
