I moved to a school in a different country for my junior and senior year of high school. I didn't have any official exams or scores worth noting, but I went to a place that did A-levels. Will it look weird that I am applying with A levels but no GCSEs and is it an issue that I don't have the other years' transcripts? I did explain that I changed schools and stuff in the required places and gave the story behind it there.

Will this be a mark against me, or should it make no difference?

You will need to send the transcripts from the other schools.

I don’t have any. It’s not an American highschool and there’s just nothing to report on them. Even if there was something, I doubt they’d have the records of a student who left them 3 years ago.

You need to contact the colleges and universities that you are applying to and ask each of them what you need to do. Yes, some will accept A levels with no other documentation, but others will want some kind of paperwork from your other school. There is no way to predict this. Send an email to the International Admissions offices and ask what to do.

Good luck!

So basically I’m screwed for all my top choices?

I have no way of obtaining a transcript or anything really from my last school.

Whether or not you are “screwed” will depend on the college/university itself. Pick up the telephone on Monday and call them. Or send them an email and ask. Do not accept our analysis as definitive. We are not in the admissions offices of the institutions to which you have applied. We don’t know what is (or isn’t) possible there.
