OOS Applicant - Any chance?

GPA: 3.5-3.6 unweighted, 3.6-3.65 weighted
Course load: 4 Honors Classes, 5 AP classes, 3 AP self-study tests
Rigorous college prep school

ACT: Currently 26 composite (weak math, high English/Reading), but I'm retaking it and shooting for 28 **at least/b

Average-Good extracurriculars.
Good recommendations.

Roughly 150 hours of volunteering at a local homeless shelter
100 hours of service for a small town parks and recreation
50 hours with Habitat for Humanity
75 hours as a Youth Wrestling Coach
Participated in a week-long service trip to Rosebud Indian Reservation

Volunteered for the odd events (service days, fundraisers, etc.), but nothing too big.

I'm looking to get more involved in political activism though - as it's my true passion. I've worked 50 hours as the campaign manager for a small town councilwoman (only 5000 people and the candidate was a family friend), and I'm trying to get more involved in the senatorial and presidential races that are coming up.

From Nebraska.

What's your rank? That's a big factor in UT admissions. If you're not in the top 10%, your chances diminish significantly.

My school doesn't/refuses to report ranks - but no, I'm not in the top 10% - I'm barely in the top 25% - my school is HIGHLY competitive.

probably not going to happen
