ANYWAYS my essays I’m not really gonna judge… I talked about how my passion for education policies developed in poly sci and then my second essay I wrote about what made me begin to see bad situations through different lenses.
In my additional comments I talked about why I’m on a gap year, why I want to transfer, and I explained a bad grade I got (Had some medical issues that were very concerning)
WOW this was LONG, but hit me back with your stats even if it is this long. Good luck to all!
Contact those schools admissions offices again and let them know you were already admitted. If you, however, are presently at an OOS school, there may be some transfer of credits issues.
You know that the OOS fees are $55K per year, right?
dude everyone always brings up the $, thing is I had scholarships last year. the thing is, I wasn’t allowed to defer. I know my credits transfer. I’m not in school right now, I took this year off
I always bring up the “$ thing” because lots of students, who want to come to Californiia, often don’t realize that there is little to no financial aid for OOS students at California public schools. Scholarships and grants come from the State of California for California residents.
If you are a California resident then there is no problem. But, if you are OOS, expect to pay $55K per year since most “other” scholarships aren’t enough to cover the fees.
I did not think Regents carries over since you took a Gap year. I believe you will be re-evaluated again to see if you qualify.
You look like a strong candidate, so you chances are good at all the UC’s. UCB/UCLA are always a tough admit, so all you can do is wait and see.
I didn’t think Regents carried over either, because they always get a new pool of applicants per year where they have to reserve the dollars. Having a gap means you might risk losing it; check with each school, since each has its own way to divide the dollars. Otherwise, you’ll get into your prior acceptances with what @Gumbymom has indicated.
